Buzz Knight

Vice President, Programming Beasley Media Group

In his role Buzz is responsible for overseeing programming/brand development, oversight and design of formats, research, ratings, and interactive and social media initiatives for all of the Greater Media properties.  He collaborates with the individual programming teams to build content that excels in the competitive marketplace.

Mr. Knight has been with Greater Media since February 2002.

Prior to that he worked as Program Director at CBS Boston based Classic Rock WZLX, Saga Communications Rock WNOR in Norfolk and Great American Rock WLVQ in Columbus Ohio.

In addition Mr. Knight spent 3 years as part of the legendary WNEW-FM in New York City.

He launched his broadcasting career at WRKI in Fairfield County Connecticut after graduating from the University of Dayton.

Mr. Knight has been named several times among “Best Programmers” by Radio Ink and has served on the programming subcommittee of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).

He is currently a member of the Nielsen Advisory Council and the NAB Committee on local audience radio measurement (COLRAM)
