SVP of Research and Electronic Measurement ABC Owned Television Stations
Pat Liguori is the Senior Vice President of Research & Electronic Measurement for the ABC Owned Television Stations Group, a position to which she was appointed in Feb’07. Immediately prior to that, Pat had been the station group’s Vice President of Research since Jan’03.
Since the start of her career in 1976, Pat has held research or sales positions at TV Rep firms Katz, MMT and Seltel, and was USA Cable Network’s first Research Director. She developed her knowledge of research methodology through her employment for several years at both ratings giants, Arbitron and Nielsen, where she was responsible for clients on both the television station and advertising agency sides.
Her 25-years at Disney/ABC began in 1984 when she was hired as WABC-TV’s Assistant Director of Research and Sales Development. In 1986, she moved to ABC National Television Sales as Associate Director of Research and Marketing, and later was promoted to Director of Research. In 1989, Pat returned to WABC-TV as Director of Research and Sales Development, a position she held for 10 years. She then served in a dual capacity as Research Director for both WABC-TV and the ABC Owned TV Stations from 1999 until Jan’03.
Pat is currently an active member of the MRC, Nielsen’s PGC, NAB’s COLTAM and the CRE. Her prior committee work includes TVB NSAC, ARF VEMC and CAB Advisory Council. She currently chairs both the CRE’s Data Quality Committee and the MRC’s Television Committee.
Pat graduated with honors from SUNY Albany where she studied both Mass Media and Sociology. She currently resides in Manhattan and is a weekend equestrian.
