Ann Casey

Corporate Director of Research Weigel Broadcasting

Ann has been the Corporate Director of Research for Weigel Broadcasting since December 2014. She is responsible for all aspects of research for Weigel’s media properties, which include stations in Chicago, Milwaukee and South Bend. This has given her opportunities to work with LPM, Set Meter and Diary markets. Ann is also responsible for Weigel’s multiple diginets including MeTV, MOVIES!, Heroes & Icons and Decades. MeTV is a nationally rated digital subchannel network with over 174 local affiliates. This has given Ann experience with both local and national Nielsen measurement. Most recently, Ann has assumed the research duties for WRME-FM, a new Chicago radio station. This has allowed her a better understanding of Nielsen Audio’s PPM measurement.

Prior to joining Weigel Broadcasting, Ann was Director of Broadcast Metrics for Tribune Media at
WGN-TV, CW Affiliate – Chicago, IL, from 2000-2014. She handled both local and corporate responsibilities before leaving in late 2014. Ann was research director at WKYC-TV, NBC Affiliate—Cleveland, OH, from 1998-2000.  Her skills in creating presentations were honed at WTMJ-TV/WTMJ-FM/WKTI-FM in Milwaukee, WI from 1997-1998 when she held the position of internet/graphic designer.  Ann started her career at WDJT-TV in 1992, first as the master control operator, then as traffic manager and finally as a research and local sales coordinator.

Ann holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Video from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  She is currently on CRE committees for Data Quality, Local Measurement and Return Path Measurement.
