Rick Keilty is Senior Vice President, a position he has held since January 1, 2000.

Keilty is a thirty year veteran of the television industry with experience in management, operations and sales. He joined Belo in 1983 as General Sales Manager of WVEC. From 1988 until 1994 he was Director of Sales at KHOU-TV in Houston. During his tenure, the station advanced from the fourth-rated to the top-rated station in the market. He assumed the leadership of WVEC-TV, Belo’s ABC affiliate in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1995, where he oversaw a partnership between WVEC, Cox Communications and the Virginian-Pilot newspaper to create a 24-hour local news channel. In May 1997 he was named President and General Manager of WCNC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina, a position he held until his promotion to Senior Vice President.

Keilty is a board member for the Television Bureau of Advertising, the ABC Affiliate Board and The Media Ratings Council. He is also a former Chairman of the industry’s Sales Advisory Committee. Keilty and his wife, Lynda, have two sons, Sean and Ryan.
