Mark Kaline
joined Ford Motor Company in 1997 as Broadcast Media Manager as
part of the Company’s newly formed consolidated media buying
operation. Today, as Global Media Manager, his responsibilities
include the coordination and execution of consolidated media buys
on behalf of Ford’s automotive and service brands. Those brands
include: Ford Division, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar,
Land Rover, Aston Martin, Ford Customer Service, and Ford Credit.
Kaline’s
primary responsibility is the day-to-day management of Ford’s
media operations in the U.S., as well as directing their dedicated
media buying agency Ford Motor Media, a wholly owned subsidiary
of J. Walter Thompson. In addition, his responsibilities include
the development of consolidated media buying operations in other
regions of the world. To date, Kaline has orchestrated Ford’s
consolidated media buying efforts and shared best practices in Europe
and in Canada, and has provided support for media buying direction
in Asia and Latin America.
In addition
to his media duties, Kaline also oversees Ford Motor Company's Global
Brand Entertainment team, responsible for identifying, evaluating,
executing and measuring the Company's brand integration and product
placement efforts with major studios, networks, and independent
producers.
Before joining
Ford Motor Company, Kaline’s career included more than 20
years in advertising and related media industries, including senior
media positions at Campbell Ewald Advertising in Detroit, and Ogilvy
& Mather in Chicago.
